NFA Attends 10 Miles House Fire

National Fire Authority (NFA) attended to a house fire incident at Waidamudamu Settlement in 10 Miles this morning.

At 9.25am, Nausori Fire Station received a fire emergency call and immediately responded.

Upon arrival at 9.32am, the Fire Team saw the corrugated iron and wooden structured house fully engulfed in flames.

The Fire Team used water from the fire trucks and also used the fire hydrant in the area to extinguish the fire.

Three fire trucks, two from Nausori Fire Station and a fire truck from Valelevu Fire Station were engaged to put out the fire.

The fire left four people homeless. No one was at home at the time of the fire.

NFA investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.

Established by virtue of the National Fire Service Act, 1994 the National Fire Authority assumed responsibilities to provide fire services for the entire nation of Fiji in February 1995.
