The Valelevu Fire Station was officially opened on the 15th of March, 1982, by the then Hon. Minister Militoni Leweniqila.

The location of this station is at the heart of the Nasinu Suburb providing fire services to all Nasinu and nearby suburbs.

Established by virtue of the National Fire Service Act, 1994 the National Fire Authority assumed responsibilities to provide fire services for the entire nation of Fiji in February 1995.
