The National Fire Authority (NFA) attended to a house fire incident at Low Cost housing in Votualevu, Nadi this afternoon.

Nadi Fire Station received a fire emergency call at 1342hrs and immediately responded to the fire call. Upon arrival at 1354hrs, the Fire Team saw the double storey flat on fire.

Firefighters used water from the fire trucks to extinguish the fire. Fire destroyed top flat while the bottom flat was partially damaged.

The fire also threatened adjacent flats but this was prevented as the fire was brought under control.

No one was injured. NFA investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
